Pure Lovin' Chocolate is an ethical chocolate producer and retailer in Victoria BC. All of our products are Vegan, Gluten Free and Soy Free and made in our local production facility.
We are currently hiring for full time (35 - 40 hrs/week) customer/food service position at our Fan Tan Alley retail location.
Hours of work will be 10:30 am - 6 pm, but days of work are flexible and can be decided upon hiring. They will then be a set schedule.
Some of your main duties would be as follows:
- Assisting customers and providing in depth information about the products.
- Boxing chocolates to order, serving soft serve ice cream and hot & cold drinks.
- Making waffle cones, hot chocolate, etc. using recipes and kitchen equipment.
- Cleaning the soft serve machine and other kitchen equipment.
- Completing sales using POS system and debit/credit machine, and cash handling.
- Completing inventory lists and managing product restocking.
- Regular cleaning and closing duties ie: dusting, windows, sweeping/mopping, etc.
- Opening, closing and running the store and equipment independently.
Some things we would be looking for in you would be:
- A friendly personality and a willingness to be helpful to customers and co-workers.
- A genuine interest in learning about (and tasting!) the products.
- The ability to multitask and to stay focused during busy periods, while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- To be reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- The ability and confidence to work unsupervised.
Other important details:
- Experience in a retail setting and/or food service is an asset, but is not necessary for this position.
- Must be willing and able to work up to and during the Christmas holidays (not including Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day)
- You will have all statutory holidays off.
