Ensure that you fully understand the business strategy and positioning of the resort and the brand and that you are able to effectively articulate this positioning in the marketplace.

Maintain a personal up-to-date knowledge on all Anantara product and service offerings, and the products, services, rates and new developments of key competitors, and an awareness of general industry trends.

Ensure the achievement of MICE sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis. Evaluate group requests & Manage the group enquiries generated the Sales team with the Groups Sales Manager

Continually review the actual production of each account against the potential for that account, and review suggestions for improvement with department leadership on all groups, MICE Accounts and corporate accounts with regular MICE business. Conduct site inspection professionally to all accounts and guests following the brand standard and as per the senior team members’ advice.

Support the team on all entertainments, site inspections and clients’ briefings whilst in the resort. Achieve personal financial and non-financial performance objectives, working with department leadership to ensure these objectives are met.

Handles negotiations to ensure maximization of revenue income, Solicit group and banquet business through action plan preparation and execution. Ability to travel 50% of the time to solicit group business

Participate in tradeshows, conventions and trade-related exhibitions. Actively participate in client familiarization trips, site inspections, MICE sales trips and roadshows as required to meet the MICE sales targets personally and of the resort.

Liaise effectively with all operational colleagues, providing support and information to ensure accurate delivery of our promise. Drive opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Anantara products

Maintain full working knowledge of the IT support tools used in the world of sales today, including sales-specific software, property PMS, the Microsoft Office toolset. Follow MHG’s procedure when outsourcing third party items and ensure following the LAOP.

Visit the customer with the Sales Manager to guarantee the success of the biggest groups and events. Get involved with the negotiations for groups and events to maximize the results

Coordinate the “groups meeting” with the vital information about the groups and events that will happen in the next 10 days. To know and promote the hotel facilities and also to have the knowledge of our competitors’ strengths and weakness

Organize the hotel’s visit and attend the unexpected requests. Be the contact between the client and the hotel staff, when it’s necessary

Teamwork and total cooperation with the Sales Managers and Revenue Management to ensure that the entire sales process is completed and up to date. Update daily the sales activities on the hotel's systems, ensuring that that information is correct and consistent to be at the Groups Report

Review rates, groups, deadlines and waiting lists. Review commission reports for groups, events and Food and Beverage. To be part of special activities, such as guest cocktails, welcome dinner for groups, etc. Make sure that all the request should be answered in 24 hours

Keep yourself informed about the clients and engage the relationship with them. To keep a nice work environment and good communication in the department and also with the other departments in the hotel to ensure compliance with Brand Standards and ensuring customer/guest satisfaction

Comply with the stipulated times and adapt to changes according to the hotel's operation’s needs


Qualifications


Bachelor Degree or a hotel school certificate with a minimum of 2 years of S&M’s hotel experience.


Additional Information

  • Proven background in MICE sales in a 5 stars hotel with a minimum of 2 years’ MICE experience.
  • Ability to manage the relationship with team members, key corporate and MICE accounts.
  • Ability to manage sales strategies, pricing strategy, sales-related requirements.
  • Understand the local market behaviour
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Arabic & other international languages a plus
  • Strong computer-related skills
